Job description For this position, we are seeking a full-stack software engineer with solid foundations in software architecture, web development and infrastructure knowledge to join a dynamic IT team. More specifically, your tasks will include: Work on all phases of application development (development, testing, bug fixing, deployment, maintenance, and documentation) Develop and maintain software according to user story specifications Contribute to the quality of the application by writing test cases, developing unit tests, testing and fixing bugs Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code Support in the creation and maintenance of documentation Participate in all SCRUM ceremonies, such as daily stand-up meetings or sprint plannings The ideal candidate Diploma or MSc in software engineering (university of applied sciences or equivalent). Up to 2 years of web software development experience. Technical skills: Basic knowledge of object-oriented design and development of web applications (Python preferred) Familiarity with using code repositories (e.g. Git) Some experience or coursework involving JavaScript frameworks and UI development (Angular preferred) Good understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) Good understanding of RESTful APIs Additional knowledge or interest in the following fields would be an asset: Agile methodologies (SCRUM), Flask, Typescript, Elasticsearch, S3, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, data archiving English (written and spoken), French and German are a plus Interpersonal skills: Good communication and presentation skills Proactive, self-motivated and willing to learn Team player: building and maintaining constructive and effective work relationships Work environment We offer you a position in a well-established and dynamic environment.
