Could you be the full-time Site Process & Manufacturing Engineering Manager (f/m/d) in Villeneuve we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
In Villeneuve, over 250 colleagues from 15 different countries work together to manufacture and modernize trains, locomotives, trams, and passenger cars from Switzerland and other European countries. Our product line Services offers a complete range of solutions to maximise the value of customer assets. Our offerings cover the entire lifecycle of the asset, from design and build, to operation, to end of life. You’ll report to Christoph TIETZ (Site Managing Director) and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team. In your role, you are also integrated in the regional communication team.
We’ll look for you to:
At tender phase
Ensure that the industrial assumptions (PIO, MoB, Macro-process) are defined in line with industrial Reflib and SMP/SML of the product range
Validate the quotation relative to the industrial costs
At project execution phase
Ensure the implementation of the standard processes and the standard product solutions: SMP/SML, standard equipment, standard solutions
Ensure the manufacturability (and the transferability if relevant) using validated technologies
Ensure co-engineering methodology and rules are followed-up to optimize lead time and quality of development
Validate, for the industrial scope, the gate reviews of the DFQ, and that the conditions to pronounce the Serial Go are fulfilled
Ensure documentation and ERP data are complete, on time and with the good level of quality
Organize and ensure the implementation of manufacturing equipment on time, in line with EHS rules, with good ergonomic conditions, and compliant with the QCD targets of the project
Drive continuous improvement actions and support production
Management of Resources
Manage the staff capacity and competencies
Control the actual and forecasted workload
Manage the EHS requirements in the field of industrialization, and as management committee member

Industrial background with 10 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry, ideally in an international organization
Ability to manage a team of engineers and technicians in technical fields
Technical experience of Process Engineering, writing and improving manufacturing work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing
Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up
Fluency in English & French
Possesses strong organizational and logical thinking skills, with effective communication abilities and a passion for the role that motivates others to reach shared goals.
