Postdoctoral Scholar Opening in Indoor Environmental Quality MissionThe École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) invites applications for a postdoctoral position within the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering. The successful candidate will join the Human-Oriented Built Environment Lab (HOBEL) at EPFL’s Fribourg campus. HOBEL’s research advances scientific understanding of indoor environmental quality (IEQ) and its impact on human health, comfort, and performance. This position is primarily linked to the EU Horizon Europe project titled ’Renovation with automation and optimization of processes and products’ (RENOMIZE) ( https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101192326') and https://www.renomize.eu/') ). RENOMIZE aims to transform building renovation practices through advanced automation (robotics), prefabrication, and digital process optimization. The project has a strong focus on scalability, industrialisation and cost-efficiency. EPFL’s role in RENOMIZE centers on the design and evaluation of indoor environmental quality (IEQ), ventilation and filtration strategies. The contracts are given on an annual basis, however, we are seeking for a multi-year appointment (minimum 2 years). This position offers a competitive salary and benefits.
