Résolument interdisciplinaire, il permet à des étudiant·e·s issus d’horizons très divers de se rencontrer et de confronter leurs méthodologies, des études littéraire, de l’histoire et l’histoire de l’art aux sciences sociales et à la géographie, en passant par la linguistique, les langues et la philosophie. Le programme a pour vocation de fournir un encadrement aux recherches doctorales qui impliquent l’utilisation d’outils informatiques ou l’étude des cultures numériques, l’analyse critique de sources numériques/ numérisées, ou encore les ramifications sociales et politiques de la numérisation. Le programme doctoral en Études numériques, né en 2017 et financé d’abord par swissuniversities (2017-2020), a intégré la CUSO en janvier 2022. Le programme en Études numériques a été envisagé comme une offre complémentaire et flexible . Il est ainsi tout à fait possible de s’y inscrire pour profiter de quelques rendez-vous par année, sans être contraint·e de participer à des événements récurrents. Ainsi, les différentes activités du programme ne nécessitent pas de prérequis et peuvent être suivies séparément . The doctoral programme in Digital Studies offers doctoral students from the CUSO universities (Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, Neuchâtel, and the Graduate Institute of Geneva) a space for training, reflection and sharing on the challenges of cultures, societies and digital humanities. Resolutely interdisciplinary, it allows students from very different backgrounds to meet and compare their methodologies, from literary studies, history and art history to social sciences and geography, via linguistics, languages and philosophy. The programme aims to provide guidance for doctoral research that involves the use of computational tools or the study of digital cultures, the critical analysis of digital/digitalised sources, or the social and political ramifications of digitalisation. The doctoral programme in Digital Studies, born in 2017 and initially funded by swissuniversities (2017-2020), joined CUSO in January 2022. The programme in Digital Studies was envisaged as a complementary and flexible offer . It is therefore possible to register for a few events per year, without being obliged to participate in recurrent events. The different activities of the programme do not require any prerequisites and can be followed separately . Mission The EPFL Laboratory of Particle Accelerator Physics ( ( LPAP ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our interdisciplinary team focused on developing a robust optics configuration and beam-beam collision scheme for the Future Circular Colliders ( FCC ) . As part of the CHART - funded project "General Accelerator Design at the FCC-ee: optics, tuning knobs and collective effects studies," the successful candidate will contribute to the development of a robust and optimized FCC-ee lattice design with an emphasis on beam-beam interactions and collective effects. The project involves refining optics configurations, implementing new tuning knobs, and developing correction schemes to enhance luminosity, beam lifetime, and dynamic aperture--critical figures of merit for collider optimization. Initial work will include analyzing current FCC-ee lattice options, identifying sensitivities to beam-beam forces and machine imperfections, and using this knowledge to design alternative optics configurations aimed at minimizing nonlinearities and improving beam stability under high-intensity conditions. A key aspect of the project is the development of flexible correction schemes and tuning knobs for real-time adjustment of lattice parameters during machine operation. These tools will allow operators to adapt to varying beam conditions, mitigate the impact of beam-beam effects, and suppress resonance phenomena. This adaptability is essential to maintaining long-term stability and ensuring the FCC-ee’s potential for high-precision physics measurements. Research topics may include: - Development of optics tools to improve beam lifetime, luminosity, and dynamic aperture in beam-beam dominated regimes. - Alternative optics designs compatible with high-temperature superconducting nested magnet technology. - Support for studies of an Energy Recovery Linac (ERL)-based collider option. - Implementation and evaluation of correction schemes to optimize beam polarization. The postdoctoral researcher will be encouraged to tailor their work toward one or more of these focus areas, depending on their expertise and interest. They will also support parallel developments led by PhD candidates, ensuring coherence in the beam dynamics models and helping to define tolerances for overall design robustness. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design of next-generation particle colliders through cutting-edge research in accelerator physics and simulation development. Se situant dans la continuité de l’Ecole doctorale lémanique (2002-2008) et de l’Ecole doctorale romande en Etudes Gendre (2008-2011), le nouveau programme doctoral s’inscrit dans une dynamique de consolidation des acquis et dans un esprit d’élargissement (institutionnel et disciplinaire). Ce programme doctoral nous permettra de réaliser les objectifs suivants : a. Le programme doctoral CUSO offre l’occasion d’expérimenter les apports de l’interdisciplinarité qui est au fondement des Etudes Genre. b. Les modules envisagés proposent un véritable lieu d’échanges entre doctorant·e·s et collègues plus avancé·e·s dans la carrière et permettent un approfondissement, tant théorique que méthodologique, des connaissances en Etudes Genre. c. PhD Program - Droit Conférence Universitaire de Suisse Occidentale Category Law | Health Position PhD Program Le programme doctoral en droit s’adresse principalement aux doctorants et doctorantes en droit affiliés aux Universités membres et partenaires de la CUSO. Il a pour but d’améliorer les conditions de réalisation de la thèse de doctorat en favorisant les contacts entre chercheurs dans un cadre de recherche stimulant. Diverses activités (méthodologiques, thématiques, interdisciplinaires et professionnelles) sont organisées chaque année par des Professeurs et des chercheurs des Universités de Fribourg, Genève, Lausanne et Neuchâtel ainsi que par l’Institut suisse de droit comparé et l’Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement. La liste des activités proposées est régulièrement mise à jour et les membres inscrits au programme sont tenus informés lorsque de nouvelles activités sont mises en ligne. Vous trouverez de plus amples informations sous l’onglet " Informations pratiques " et la coordinatrice du programme se tient à votre entière disposition pour toute suggestion ou demande de renseignements. Vous souhaitez organiser une activité dans le cadre du programme doctoral en droit? Nous vous invitons à nous soumettre des projets que vous êtes en train d’organiser, afin que nous puissions les intégrer à notre programme d’activités. Il peut s’agir de séminaires, atelier ou conférences avec des intervenants suisses ou internationaux sur des questions thématiques, interdisciplinaires ou méthodologiques. Le programme doctoral en droit peut contribuer au financement de projets revêtant un intérêt pour les jeunes chercheurs- euses (niveau doctoral) ouverts à tous les doctorant(e)s en droit inscrits à ce programme en soutenant le frais d’organisation, les frais de repas et de déplacements des intervenants et des participants inscrits au programme doctoral. Associate Director / Director, Global Medicines Quality Organisation Purpose The Associate Director / Director, Global Medicines Quality Organisation (GMQO), leads a team of quality professionals responsible for quality systems, quality oversight and consultation across Medical (Clinical Development and Medical Affairs), Safety and Regulatory activities conducted within assigned functions and/or affiliates in the International Business Unit. This includes the development, execution and oversight of quality systems, management of audit and inspection activities and monitoring of internal metrics and the external environment to maintain compliance to external regulations/ internal standards and drive continuous improvement. The role will collaborate with quality, business partners and leadership both locally and across regional/global functions to deliver a robust affiliate quality strategy. The Associate Director / Director will be responsible for a team of GMQO representatives including recruitment, onboarding, coaching and performance management to achieve GMQO objectives and develop talent within the organisation. Primary Responsibilities This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the job requirements at the time it was prepared. Leadership for Quality initiatives, Oversight and Continuous Improvement Develop and implement the strategy to assure that appropriate quality systems (such as: procedures, notification to management, change control, deviations, document management), are aligned with Lilly and external requirements, and integrated with business processes across Medical, Safety and Regulatory for assigned functions and/or affiliates. Establish and oversee the local affiliate quality system across Medical, Safety and Regulatory ensuring appropriate interface between global and affiliate functions (such as Product Quality, Ethics and Compliance, Marketing). Define, track and report quality metrics that will enable functional, affiliate and global leadership measure objectively the effectiveness of the quality systems and develop initiatives for continuous improvement. Partner with GMQO representatives, Global Quality Auditing and Compliance (GQAAC) and business partners to ensure timely review, input and approval (where applicable) of local quality plans, risk assessments, self-inspection and audit planning activities. Provide quality advice and define best solutions in support of decisions related to Medical, Safety and Regulatory compliance and be accountable for quality decisions. Assure appropriate monitoring of the external regulatory environment to assess changes in requirements and to influence the future direction of activities within Lilly. Represent quality in functional leadership and governance meetings for Medical, Safety and Regulatory. As a member of these forums, the Associate Director / Director is expected to identify and recommend plans to drive continuous improvement. 2. Management of audit and inspection activities Provide resources and leadership for inspection/ audit readiness activities and the management of inspections/ audits at affiliates, investigator sites and third-party organisations within assigned regions. Work with senior leadership, affiliates and functional areas as appropriate to ensure clear understanding of expectations regarding inspection/ audit readiness and to identify and address areas of inspection/ audit risk. Provide leadership and collaborate with GMQO representatives, business partners and GQAAC to input into audit plan delivery and adjustments, audit scope setting and review/approval of audit responses and associated actions. 3. Leadership and People Development Maintain a staffing model to meet current and future needs, understanding and anticipating required future skills. Ensure the optimum structure to accomplish goals and develop talent. Ensure staff are highly trained in the focus areas of quality and the areas of the business they support. Fulfill role in the Performance Management process and ensure a robust succession plan for critical skill jobs. Actively coach and mentor talent across the quality organization. Lead the GMQO ensuring the integration between Medical, Safety and Regulatory and establish a network to ensure sharing of best practices and learning. Through metrics and self-inspection, determine if affiliates have appropriate processes and personnel in place to meet both local and global Medical, Safety and Regulatory requirements, achieve functional and business objectives and escalate issues to senior management as appropriate. Participate as needed in business planning, ensuring the Quality needs are represented. 4. Minimum Qualification Requirements Bachelor-s or Master-s degree in a health or science-related field at a minimum. A minimum of 7 years of direct experience with Clinical Operations, Medical, Safety or Regulatory. Experience with quality issue resolution and regulatory inspection. Experience working directly with affiliates. Demonstrated leadership. Demonstrated decision making skills. Able to evaluate business needs and develop strategic plans regarding quality improvement. Demonstrated ability to operate across boundaries and influence others. Strong problem-solving and communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Self-management and motivational ability. Customer focused, flexible/adaptable. Process improvement oriented. Must be able to work autonomously. Medical Advisor Oncology Bringing a deep understanding of the emerging science, key objective of the medical affairs team in Switzerland is to educate physicians and to collect their insights to assemble the scientific evidence, hence, enabling cross-functional teams to focus on programs which are relevant to health care providers (HCPs) and have the biggest impact on patient outcomes. To strengthen our affiliate medical affairs team, we are looking for a Medical Advisor assuming responsibilities for the clinical advancement of our Oncology/Hematology portfolio. Purpose of the job: Through the application of scientific and clinical training and expertise, the Medical Advisor Oncology is an integral member of the medical affairs, development, or a business unit brand team for strategic planning in the support of pre-launch, launch and commercialization activities to meet patients’ needs and ultimately enhance the customers’ experience in interacting with Lilly as a Medicine company. Core job responsibilities: In an effort to fully understand external opinions, issues, and new science in the area of oncological diseases medical advisors gather and communicate scientific intelligence, clinical care gaps (CCGs) and scientific gaps (SGs) and other insights identified through their interactions with scientific experts and other health care providers. To foster late-stage product development and to enable patientsÂŽ access to innovative treatments they partner locally across functions (regulatory, marketing, PRA, legal) and with regional/global colleagues to facilitate integrated evidence generation, hence, to better inform Lilly’s strategic direction. Key tasks and responsibilities include: Interacting with scientific experts and other HCPs. Leading and presenting at conferences, advisory boards, scientific exchange meetings, etc., and overseeing the development of the scientific content of educational programs. Participating in the development of the "patient journey" and the strategic plan for the respective compounds. Partnering with regional/global teams for integrated evidence generation projects. Job requirements: An advanced health/medical/ scientific (for example, in pharmacology, physiology, microbiology) or related graduate degree such as DVM, PharmD, PhD, MSN with advanced clinical specialty (Clinical Nurse Specialist/ Nurse Practitioner) and one of following: 3-5 years of clinical experience, ideally in the area of oncology/hematology, or 3-5 years of pharmaceutical experience (2 of which is in clinical development) OR University degree/ Master-degree or PhD in medicine, pharmacy, life science, or health economics that is directly related to at least one of the following: Clinical trial experience Experience in areas relevant to drug discovery Drug/clinical development experience (for example, epidemiology, toxicology, pharmacology, regulatory affairs, medical affairs) What do we also expect?
