As a Legal Officer, you will be part of the Legal department. Among others, your tasks will typically be the following:
Advise internal stakeholders on the legal aspects of the Bank’s projects, with emphasis on corporate law, corporate governance and ESG related topics;
Assist in the preparation of the annual reports of our holding company such as the corporate governance report, remuneration report;
Assist in the finalization of the documentation required for annual general meetings;
Review, negotiate and draft contracts and/or any other documentation of the Bank;
Assist your team leader in market compliance matters with respect to managing correspondence with strategic partners or authorities;
Take care of litigation matters or complaints;
Prepare legal research on banking & financial law and monitor regulatory changes;
Draw up, implement and review internal reports, policies and procedures
Qualifications
Master degree in Swiss Law. Swiss bar exam is an asset;
A first relevant experience of at least 2 years (e.g. as a jurist/lawyer in the Banking industry, in a Big 4 or a law firm with focus on corporate law);
Excellent knowledge in French and English, working knowledge of German is an asset;
Strong written and communication skills
Adept at collaborative teamwork while maintaining autonomy
Analytical and organized mind-set
Strong and affirmed interest in corporate law, corporate governance and ESG
