As a private Swiss company with global reach, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on Group Tax Director to lead key financial functions and contribute to our long-term growth and resilience
This senior leadership role will report to the Group CFO and will play a pivotal role in optimizing our financial structure, ensuring robust funding, overseeing tax strategy across jurisdictions, and steering investment decisions aligned with our innovation agenda and sovereign mission
As Group Tax Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and strategically steering the following core areas:
Develop, assess, and recommend international tax strategies that support the Group’s growth and profitability goals
Design and challenge business tax models across jurisdictions, with a special focus on complex and emerging markets (notably in Africa)
Review and challenge existing business models to adjust to evolving tax environments and market approaches
Lead and structure corporate reorganizations at both Swiss and international levels, ensuring full compliance while maximizing tax efficiency
Proactively manage and prepare for tax audits globally
Uplift tax awareness across the Group
Contribute to financial due diligence efforts for new ventures, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions
Evaluate and structure investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with Group strategy and value creation objectives
PROFILE
We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities, international exposure, and the ability to lead across disciplines
Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, CFA or equivalent qualification is a plus
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in international tax
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to engage and motivate cross-functional teams
Demonstrated track record in managing complex international tax structures, particularly in emerging markets
M&A experience in tax due diligence and structuration of acquired entities
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, especially with tax authorities and external advisors
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and business acumen
Fluent in English and French
