We are currently looking for a Process Support and Process Safety Intern to join our team at the VARO refinery in Cressier, Switzerland As one of Europe's leading energy transition companies, our highly skilled employees work together to create new opportunities. We are committed to positioning ourselves as a responsible company that want to be proud of the planet we pass on to future generations We are looking for a Chemical Engineering Undergraduate or Master student with at least 3 years Chemical Engineering study experience who can speak English & French and is interested in the field of Support to Operations and Process Safety to come to the refinery for a 12 month industrial placement Key activities Investigating & reporting Process Safety Incidents & Near-Misses (LOPC, SIF deferrals, Operating Window Excursion) Rationalizing Alarms Developing an Operating Window Excursion Reporting Tool Reporting Process Safety performance indicators Aiding in HAZOP & What-if safety studies Troubleshooting small operational issues in units Developing Thermodynamic model/simulations Preparing technical documents (P&ID’s, Cause & Effects etc.) and/or data for LP and projects Chemical Engineering Undergraduate or Master student with at least 3 years Chemical Engineering study experience Good Technical knowledge in the field of Chemical engineering Relevant work experience (Asset) Spoken Competency in the French and English Languages (or commitment to quickly becoming fluent) Flexible, you combine the ability to work independently and demonstrate team spirit You are conscientious, have a good sense of organization and carry out your tasks in a rigorous manner You are able to make proposals and adapt processes according to the company needs Send us your complete application (Resume, motivation letter, reference letter, diplomas) We exist to accelerate the transition to a world of reliable, accessible, sustainable energy Hiring with Homerun
