Places d'apprentissage Politique de gestion des conflits Description du poste Dans le cadre du projet de recherche , financé par le Fonds national suisse (FNS), nous sommes à la recherche de deux personnes motivées à travailler comme doctorant-e dans le champ des études interdisciplinaires en droits de lâenfant « Translation, travels and trajectories of childrenâs rights between Europe and Africa. A sociolegal study of juvenile justice and child protection regulation between Belgium and the Congo (1885-2025)» Le projet de recherche interdisciplinaire vise à étudier les transformations et évolutions des réglementations relatives aux droits de lâenfant qui ont circulé pendant plus de 100 ans entre deux pays situés sur deux continents différents : la Belgique et la République Démocratique du Congo (RDC), dont les histoires sont liées par une relation coloniale (colonisateur et colonisé). Il sâappuie sur des travaux conceptuels antérieurs visant à saisir les interrelations entre les dispositifs juridiques, les pratiques sociales et les discours sur les droits de lâenfant Le projet mobilisera diverses méthodes de recherche issues des études sociojuridiques empiriques et des études historiques comparatives : méthodes doctrinales, analyses approfondies de sources documentaires et archivistiques, entretiens et études de cas Présenter des compétences avérées pour la recherche sociojuridique Une claire motivation à réaliser un projet de doctorat dans le domaine dâétudes interdisciplinaires en droits de lâenfant tre disponible et motivé-e pour entreprendre plusieurs voyages de terrain. Un des deux postes impliquera des séjours prolongés en RDC Disposer dâun haut degré dâautonomie pour mener à terme un projet de recherche exigeant ; faire preuve dâhabilités relationnelles et être apte à sâintégrer dans une équipe interdisciplinaire Excellente maîtrise écrite et orale du français et de lâanglais Dans une perspective de parité, l'Université encourage les candidatures provenant de genres sous-représentés La durée de l'engagement sur fonds FNS est de 1 an, prolongeable tous les ans pour une période totale de 4 ans maximum. A sociolegal study of juvenile justice and child protection regulation between Belgium and the Congo (1885-2025) » The interdisciplinary research project aims to investigate the transformations and changes of childrenâs rights regulations that have been travelling over a period of more than 100 years between two countries on two different continents, Belgium and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) whose histories have been entangled through their position as a colonizing and as a colonized country. It builds upon previously undertaken conceptual work aiming to capture the interrelations between legal arrangements, social practices and discourses on childrenâs rights The project will employ a range of research methods stemming from empirical socio-legal and historical-comparative studies: Doctrinal research methods, in-depth analysis of documentary and archival sources, interviews, and case study analysis Required degree and competences Hold a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification in law Show demonstrated competences in socio-legal research A clear motivation to undertake a PhD project in the interdisciplinary field of children's rights studies Be available and motivated to conduct multiple field trips.
