This role calls for a balance of leadership, influence skills, and execution as a supportive individual contributor. You should be able to work well under pressure and deadlines and be flexible, thriving in ambiguity and uncertainty, while delivering with quality and excellence The Business Manager will provide the Private Equity team with support for strategic business planning and organizational challenges, lead key initiatives, and facilitate business execution. You will work with senior leaders on strategic initiatives to understand the business and their input, to then craft a cohesive business proposal and be part of the implementation team on key projects Report to and work in coordination with the private equity COO and global operations team on operational and strategic initiatives that optimize and scale our private equity department Create partnerships within the investment team and across other departments Identify, develop, and drive strategic projects across Private Equity and within specific industry verticals Plan and execute regional conference for thought-leaders, portfolio CEOs and board members Understand the voice of the organization and employee pulse Create content for leader meetings and team offsites from idea generation to effective visual communication Owning review and approval for key data metrics including gathering, evaluating process improvements Operationalize Talent Center of Excellence in partnership with senior leaders Provide reliable, effective support on ad hoc projects and initiatives Gather, analyze and interpret data, writing reports and updating documentation Regular communication with and travel between global offices to build relationships, support strategic meetings, etc What we expect The ideal candidate will have Bachelor's or Master's degree in the related field and 5+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or other business-related roles Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives Established track record in operations, finance, and/or program management Expert skills in analyzing and modelling data Systems-thinker with drive to improve efficiency Continuous improvement mindset and experience with supporting methodologies Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Effective communication and strong relationship-building abilities with diverse stakeholders Solid understanding of business processes and strategy development Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and information systems Highly motivated professional with diverse experience in driving success in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership skills, including managing processes and leading through influence rather than direct authority DealCloud experience is a plus Join our team to achieve strategic goals and contribute to organizational growth and development What we offer Partners Group is a global financial institution that retains the culture, pace and agility of a start-up. What it's about In this position you will be part of the Private Wealth Client Solutions team in the Partners Group headquarter in Zug. As a wholesale Private Markets salesperson you will be responsible for building new and broadening existing relationships with private wealth distribution channels primarily in Switzerland. The successful candidate should have the following profile: Bachelor's degree (MBA, Master's and/or CFA preferred) with strong academic background in finance, accounting, economics or a relevant discipline 5-8 years of relevant work experience (preferably in private markets industry) in business development, consulting, sales & marketing, relationship management Previous experience within the fund selection and institutional sales departments in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Private Markets, is a plus.
