You will be joining the team in charge of building the next generation of custom dashboards and data visualizations for the entire platform. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to building an exciting product and creating high-quality internal libraries for developers The position entails a high level of responsibility within the Engineering team. You challenge the status quo, and you are resolved to help Nexthink stay on the leading edge of the digital employee experience Job duties: Build a high-performing engineering team by attracting and retaining the highest quality talent, onboarding, coaching, performance improvement, and career progression of the engineers Drive and direct the engineering processes, architecture, and technical roadmap within the team in alignment with the Engineering management team Oversee the technical debt, security, quality, and technical decisions with proficiency and in a structured manner Evangelize, drive, and continuously improve our agile methodologies for software development to continue building our product iteratively and in a lean way Instill Nexthink values as a building foundation for your team Work with the Product Management and UX teams to help write user stories, build an effective product roadmap with your technical inputs, and ensure smooth and close collaboration with the engineers from discovery to delivery Ensure coordination and full alignment between different agile teams across multiple locations as well as cross-department collaboration such as Marketing, sales, HR, or customer success Ability to contribute technically within the team as required by bringing your experience in architectural decisions, code reviews, prototypes, and codebase Own problems from end-to-end, manage complexity, and interact directly with stakeholders to understand and minimize any impact to the business Foster a culture of integrity, mutual respect, and collaborative decision-making Qualifications B.S. or Master in Computer Science with previous experience and exemplary track record in a similar management role, building from scratch and directing engineering teams in an Agile environment Strong knowledge of the technology stack (Java, Kafka, etc) and processes for full-stack development, microservices, and cloud architecture and deployment Previous experience with AI technologies (ML, NLP, LLM) is highly valued Experience dealing with internationally distributed teams with the ability to work in a multicultural and hypergrowth-paced environment, managing appropriately cultural gaps and embracing change Robust knowledge of the technology stack and processes for full-stack development, microservices, and cloud architecture and deployment Prior experience as a software engineer or architect with an exemplary understanding of coding, and software architectures and with the ability to discuss technical details and provide insightful inputs Experience collaborating with product managers and engineers to align product and engineering roadmaps to generate the highest business value Experience in guiding, managing, coaching, and mentoring software engineers toward delivering timely and high-quality software while growing them to the next level Well-developed ‘get things done’ mindset, willing to do what it takes to get concrete outcomes Profound know-how in agile practices and frameworks Teamwork and collaboration are part of your DNA Impressive communication skills with proficiency in English (spoken and written) Enthusiasm to learn new technologies and work in a close-knit team to find new and better ways to serve the needs of the business We are 1000+ employees strong in 21 countries across 8 different time zones speaking 60+ languages.
