Having integrated and flown 4 electric airplanes, the Swiss start-up has been selected by Pratt & Whitney Canada to provide the battery pack for its regional hybrid-electric flight demonstrator. This recent announcement is a further illustration of H55’s position as a major enabler in the electric commuter market. About the role The position will be based in the H55’s headquarters in Sion, Switzerland. This role will be within a Fixed-term contract and will report to the Head of Integration & Testing team, and will be primarily focused on developing test activities on Li-ion cells and modules and power electronics, to enable new energy storage system designs based on state-of-the-art technologies and materials. Responsibilities Test Operations: Operate, control, and monitor test benches for various applications. Execute test protocols both at the Sion facility and at supplier locations within Switzerland. Test Setup & Configuration: Prepare test setups, including mechanical and electrical configurations. Manufacture wire harnesses and other hardware required for tests. Ensure accurate configuration management throughout testing. Test Development: Assist in the assembly and development of test benches as needed. Solid understanding of EASA Part 21 , CS-23 , and other certification principles. Experience with safety analyses such as FMEA , SSA , and metrics like MTBF/MTTR . Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance is a plus. Within a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading the testing activities to meet the required needs, safety and reliability objectives. Main responsabilites: Lead an automated, scalable verification strategy, integrated with CI/CD pipelines and aligned with DO-178 objectives. H55 is composed of highly experienced engineers, entrepreneurs and managers and is seeking like mind talented professionals who understand how to couple creativity and innovation with technical and business considerations H55 are seeking an experienced and passionate Airworthiness Engineer to manage activities related to maintaining and developing our EASA Part 21 Subpart J Design Organisation Approval. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the design organisation operates in full compliance with EASA regulations, while leading the continuous improvement of design and certification processes. This is a key position with significant cross-functional influence across engineering, quality, safety, and regulatory affairs Ensure the DOA's continued adherence to EASA Part 21 Subpart J requirements Develop, maintain, and improve DOA procedures, manuals and related documentation Liaise directly with EASA and other regulatory authorities on audits, approvals, and design-related activities Participate and Lead internal and external audits, ensure timely resolution of findings, and implement corrective/preventative actions Support and guide engineering and certification teams in demonstrating compliance with applicable certification requirements (SC E-19/ CS-23/25) Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage and approve changes to engine, systems, and equipment design Lead or support major design projects, minor/major modifications, and repairs Ensure proper use of EASA Form 1, Form 18B, and other regulatory deliverables as part of the design output Provide training and awareness on DOA Procedures and regulatory updates and best practices across the organisation Your profile You have demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in highly fast changing environment.
