The Electric (ATA 24) and Avionics (ATA 42) Engineer reports to Head of Aircraft Integration. Your role At an aircraft level (part of DO-21 J), this role defines the electrical layout of the electrical propulsion (EPU) components into aircraft and any other required avionics systems (part of Type Certificate activities). Responsibilities: Responsible of the integration of systems including the choice of components, the compatibility of interfaces (ICD) and the drafting of electrical diagrams (DWG & SCH) and identify the installation requirements of the systems (SRS). Develop avionics system requirements, the electrical system architecture and interfaces with other aircraft systems. Creation of wiring diagrams (WD) , drawings (DWG) and associated harnesses. Prepare and validate aircraft level test plans and Functional Test Procedures (GTP & FTP), analyse results and to write reports. Creation of compliance demonstration material such as Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), EMI/EMC report and Safety assessment (FHA & SSA). Coordinate with avionics system suppliers in the development, integration and testing of displays, flight instruments, communication and navigation systems, sensor, vehicle health systems and vehicle management systems. Support aircraft ground and flight testing if required. Work alongside maintenance teams (similar to PART-145) to capture their design feedback. Support first article installation on aircraft. (FAI) Optimize cable sizing and routing to minimize weight (similar to SWPM & EWIS) Ensure Electromagnetic compatibility of systems (ensuring best practices for EMC are maintained) Ensuring manufacturability and integration of design Monitor and complete problem reports (PR) and change requests (CR). Provide guidance and feedback to internal and external stakeholders. Review and validate supplier technical documentations. Your Profile University degree or 10+ years of experience in design and validation of electrical systems and assemblies Familiar with aerospace process & standard Familiar with FAA Advisory Circulars related to aircraft modification and maintenance Familiar with EASA Certification Specification on aircraft maintenance (CS-23 or CS-25 knowledge is a plus) Experience in minor & major modification as well as service bulletin is a plus Hands on experience with manufacturing or maintenance Experience with certification documentation (CP, CCL; MDL) Experience in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software Experience with EWIS Team player Motivated self-starter Organized and precise Quality focused Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Fluent written and spoken English (French is beneficial). Your Role As part of our Engineering team, we are looking to hire a Chief Engineer, reporting to the Head of Design Organistion (HDO) . The Chief Engineer’s perimeter is covering system to parts (up to electronic board or software) and has the following tasks and responsibilities: Responsible to deliver the overall solution for a system or sub-system; on time, cost and quality. Responsible for the overall architecture, including the management all product trades and new technology introduction. Responsible to ensure the design to meet all requirements. Responsible for the certification, qualification and testing strategy. Responsible for product change management. First technical point of contact for the program manager, management and the customer throughout the life of the product. Chair and facilitator of milestone reviews. You are supported by the team leaders in the creation and maintenance of schedules. Approve configured baseline for production (system shipset). Your experience University degree (Master’s Degree) in a relevant engineering discipline (System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems). Thorough knowledge of the involved engineering disciplines. Demonstrated experience and expertise in the aviation sector typically 5+ years, bringing projects to successful completion. Technical / engineering experience in aviation/aerospace with direct client management/engagement. Broad knowledge of other engineering disciplines, HW/SW development, mechanical engineering to assess/coordinate the product development cycle on a high level. Good understanding of certification and production methods and standards in aviation. Management skills, resources and budget. Strong understanding of the company’s key competitive strengths - technology, pricing, manufacturing capabilities, plans to scale, etc. - and being able to use these qualifications for identifying, engaging and increasing the company’s customer base.
