About H55 As the technological spin-off of Solar Impulse, the first electric airplane to fly around the world, the mission of H55, is to make aviation clean, safe, and affordable. The company’s strengths and competencies lie in developing propulsion and energy storage solutions which are modular, lightweight, and certifiable. Having integrated and flown 4 electric airplanes, the Swiss start-up has been selected by Pratt & Whitney Canada to provide the battery pack for its regional hybrid-electric flight demonstrator. This recent announcement is a further illustration of H55’s position as a major enabler in the electric commuter market. About the role As the Aircraft Integration Technician, holder of B2 maintenance EASA license, you will be part of the integration team. Your main responsibilities will include: Performing integration and modification activities related to the installation of our electric propulsion system (motor, batteries, motor controller, cabling, etc.) Maintaining and serving of H55 aircraft fleet (continued airworthiness) Documenting and/or verifying the performed integration activities Support test activities and troubleshooting to gain system experience and give feedback on maintainability and installability of the system. Performing the release to service after modification/maintenance Possibility of assuming a team leadership position Preferred Profile and Experience Apprenticeship in mechanical, electromechanical and/or electrical domain and holder of EASA Part 66 aircraft maintenance license (B1 / B2/ C ) University degree in a relevant engineering discipline (System engineering, Mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering) is an asset Demonstrated experience and expertise typically 3+ years Good understanding of general aviation standards and practices in the field of activity (AC 43-13) Good understanding of aircraft operational characteristics to perform system/ground and flight tests Demonstrated ability to follow through and bring projects to its completion Target-oriented, with analytic problem-solving capabilities Well organized including the ability to properly document Capacity to prioritize, manage time effectively and multi-task Good Communication skills Fluency in English (oral and written), French an asset What we offer An amazing work Location in Sion, Valais in the heart of Swiss Alps. About the role In the frame of its product development (Energy Storage System), H55 is hiring an EMI/EMC Engineer. Within a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of electronic and electrical systems with Electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standard. You will be part of Part-21J Design Organization (DO). Specifically, you will be responsible to: Develop and implement EMI/EMC test plans, procedures, and protocols for aerospace applications. Conduct EMI/EMC testing (Anechoic Chamber, Spectrum Analyzer, probe measurement) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464). Analyze test results, troubleshoot EMI/EMC issues, and provide detailed reports (Shielding, Filtering, Grounding, Bonding,...) Collaborate with design and engineering teams to incorporate EMI/EMC mitigation techniques in product development. Write design documentation: EMI/EMC analysis reports, compliance matrices, and test reports. Maintain meticulous documentation throughout the entire process. Manage all EMI/EMC data under your responsibility according to our DO-254 development methodologies and configuration management rules. Stay updated on the latest EMI/EMC standards, regulations, and testing methodologies. Participate in product design reviews to ensure EMI/EMC considerations are integrated from the outset. Provide training and support to engineering teams on EMI/EMC best practices (design, troubleshooting, testing, ...). Knowledge of EMI/EMC at aircraft level, system level and item level apply to aerospace is a plus. Your Profile: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in EMI/EMC testing and compliance, preferably in high-reliability and/or safety-critical industries (aerospace, automotive, medical, or industrial). Proactive and team player attitude is key to success. Good knowledge of: EMI/EMC standards (e.g., CISPR, FCC, IEC, DO-160, MIL-STD-461) EMI/ESD/EFT protection and filtering techniques Mixed analog/digital circuit design, power supply (DC/DC), and circuit simulation tools (e.g., Simetrix, Spice) Proficiency in Schematics entry and circuit board layout (e.g., Altium Designer). Experience with PCB IPC standards. Aerospace/aviation process and standard knowledge is a plus (under EASA/FAA CS-23 or equivalent). Notions in Thermal Engineering (cooling) and Mechanical Engineering (enclosure) is a plus. Proficiency in Matlab and Altium use is a plus. Experience in environmental testing (temperature, vibration, EMI/EMC, DO-160) and aviation development assurance standards (DO-254) is a plus. Fast learner, rigorous, with analytic problem-solving capabilities and ability to properly document. Well-organized, capacity to prioritize & pro-active (start-up mindset) Fluency in English, French is a strong asset.
