MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE We are looking for qualified and experienced teachers for short and long term replacements in primary section during the school year, providing high-quality education to our students. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Promoting the school’s mission and vision by assisting students to discover and develop individual strengths, make powerful, life-long global connections, and be their best selves. Contributing to the creation of a caring and inclusive learning environment in which students can flourish, ensuring that each student’s health and well-being are given the necessary priority. Teaching primary children according to the Curriculum and specific students’ needs (planning, preparation, differentiation, evaluation) Working collaboratively with colleagues Using a variety of teaching methods, including the use of IT equipment. SKILLS AND COMPETENCES Qualification You should possess a Primary teaching qualification , ideally a Master’s degree or PhD. Experience Successful experience in teaching in Primary section ideally in an international school setting, is required. Prior Skills and Knowledge Fluency in English, at a native or equivalent level, is required. Establishing a positive rapport with students is of utmost importance, requiring a balance of firmness, empathy, and fairness. Furthermore, a working knowledge of French is considered an asset. Additional skills You possess the ability to communicate with clarity. You demonstrate proficiency in building positive relationships with both students and colleagues alike. Collaborative skills are imperative, as the role entails working effectively as part of a team. Moreover, displaying a growth mindset is essential, reflecting openness to embracing new challenges and a commitment to continual professional development. Effective organisation of workload and prioritisation skills are necessary to manage responsibilities efficiently. CRUCIAL INFORMATION It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships.
