About Our Client

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the finance team at our client, a manufacturing firm based in Zug. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience in the manufacturing industry, and the ability to manage complex financial processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial operations and contributing to strategic decision-making.

Job Description

• Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Reconcile accounts, including inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate costing and inventory accounting.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT reporting, withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
• Support external and internal audits, providing all necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing finance team.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a strong advantage.
