About Our Client

Our client is an international asset management firm located in Kanton Zurich. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their finance team consisting of 4 team members. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their accounting career to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Description

• Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, VAT declarations, and other regulatory filings
• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
• Assist in payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
• Collaborate with team members during audits and implement any recommendations
• Provide administrative support to the finance team, as required

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping (internship experience is acceptable)
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP or similar)
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and regulations
• Proficiency in English and German
